ER at Sweetwater

Aiken Regional Medical Centers’ new freestanding emergency department, ER at Sweetwater, will be a full-service emergency department that will expand access to emergency care in Aiken and surrounding counties. The new 10,884-square-foot ER at Sweetwater will provide emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week for all ages, featuring six exam rooms, three rapid medical exam spaces, 10 treatment areas and full-service radiology and laboratory services.

Beaumont Behavioral Health in Dearborn, Michigan, is a new 150-bed facility that will serve adults, adolescents and children. Beaumont Behavioral Health is a joint-venture partnership between Beaumont Health and UHS.

Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center

Northern Nevada Health System (NNHS) hosted a ceremonial ribbon cutting to introduce its second hospital, Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center (SMC), to local dignitaries. SMC is the first full-service hospital to be built in the region in nearly a century and joins the Health System’s growing operations, including sister facility, Northern Nevada Medical Center based in Sparks.

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a partnership with HonorHealth. This new 120-bed facility provides high-quality behavioral programming and treatment including acute inpatient and outpatient services, substance use and addiction treatment.

ER at Valley Vista

The ER at Valley Vista, an extension of Centennial Hills Hospital, is a freestanding emergency department located in North Las Vegas. It provides 24-hour emergency care every day of the year and is staffed with the same medical personnel — including emergency medicine physicians — and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in Centennial Hills Hospital’s emergency department. The new ER at Valley Vista features six treatment rooms, three rapid medical exam rooms, advanced imaging services (including computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and X-ray) and an on-site decontamination room with showers. ER at Valley Vista is the fourth freestanding emergency department in The Valley Health System.

Hampton Academy

Hampton Academy in Lumberton, New Jersey, celebrated its move into its new school. Hampton Academy provides educational and clinical support to students that suffer from anxiety, school avoidance/refusal, problems with social skills/building peer relationships, mood disorders and other socio-emotional concerns that interfere with their ability to fully function within a traditional academic setting.

Northwest Texas Healthcare System

Northwest Texas Healthcare System recently opened the NWTHS Therapy Center in Amarillo with expanded services including new equipment for neuro-rehabilitation patients. The NWTHS Therapy Center offers physical, occupational and speech therapy including specialized services for balance disorders, hand therapy and lymphedema.

The Pavilion Behavioral Health System opened its new 16-bed Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Unit, which joins the 12-bed unit and 10-bed unit for youth ages 10–18 who require long-term treatment for severe and chronic psychiatric disorders.

Cedar Hill groundbreaking

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health

UHS and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser along with George Washington University and Children’s National Hospital broke ground on the new Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health in Ward 8 at the St. Elizabeths East Campus. The $375 million project includes a state-of-the-art 136-bed, full-service hospital, ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics and community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports. When it opens its doors to patients in December 2024, the new Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health will be the first inpatient facility to open in the District in over 20 years.

Services at the new 365,000-square-foot medical center will include newborn delivery with a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Academic Medicine and Pediatric Care, Women’s Health Services, Adult and Children Emergency Departments, a certified trauma center, behavioral and mental health, a full range of specialty care services and outpatient services.

West Henderson Hospital Groundbreaking

West Henderson Hospital

The Valley Health System hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for West Henderson Hospital, its seventh acute care hospital in Southern Nevada. The 150-bed facility will initially feature a 37-bay emergency department, surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites, endoscopy suites, cardiac catheterization labs, an electrophysiology lab, an interventional radiology/special procedures lab, and inpatient nursing care units. These areas will be supported by ancillary services including imaging, therapy, laboratory and pharmacy, and support services.
